GLUEDEVIL UNIVERSAL TINTERS have a broad compatibility in water-based and solvent-based decorative paints. UNIVERSAL TINTERS are rigidly colour controlled to a delta E (CMC 1:1) of 0.6 and strength controlled to ±4%. These tinters disperse easily and completely in the paint tint bases with a few adjustments in formulation. Compatibility should be checked after any changes to base paint formulations.

Lightfastness and Weathering:

Lightfastness values are quoted by the pigment manufacturers using a long oil alkyd as the medium. Results are expressed using the 0-8 blue wool scale, following DIN 54 003.

Weathering values are quoted by the pigment manufacturers, in the same binder used for lightfastness testing. Results are expressed using the 0-5 grey scale following DIN 54 001.

Alkali Resistance:

Inorganic pigments are less prone to an alkaline (calcium hydroxide) attack than organic pigments. New cementitious substrates must be thoroughly dry prior to paint applications. An alkali resistant primer should be applied to new substrates as well as painted substrates where there is evidence or pervious alkaline attack.

Directions:

• Shake well before use.
• Avoid over tinting by adding small quantities at a time.
• Stir into paint thoroughly to achieve full colour development
• Maximum colourant recommended 200ml per 5LT of paint.

Storage and Shelf Life:

GLUEDEVIL UNIVERSAL TINTERS has a shelf life of 24 months (the expiry date is shown on the packaging), when stored at a temperature between 0°C to 35°C in its original unopened packaging.
