SAFETY DATA SHEET SOFT SOAP LUBRICANT

Technical Data Sheet (TDS)

GLUEDEVIL SOFT SOAP is a non-corrosive gel-like soap that can be used as a lubricant for pipe jointing as well as for tyre fittings or to assist in the process of removing tyres from the rims. With its degreasing qualities, it will dissolve away organic matter from floors, tiles, concrete, metal, painted or varnished surfaces.

Directions for use as a pipe lubricant:
  • Clean the spigot end of the pipe checking to see that the surface is smooth and free from indentations or deep scratches.
  • Apply lubricant evenly around the spigot end to approximately half the pipe end and mark which indicates the depth of entry.
  • Lubricate the ring lightly as well.
Directions for use as a tyre lubricant:
  • Apply lubricant with a brush or cloth between the edge of the tyre rim and the tyre bead prior to the removal of the tyre from the rim.
  • Apply lubricant to the new tyre for ease of fitting onto the rim.
  • Wipe away any excess lubricant on the tyre or rim with a clean cloth.
